What does an NDIS Plan Manager do?
NDIS Plan Management is a service available for people whose NDIS plans are ‘plan-managed’. A Plan Manager is responsible for the financial management of your NDIS plan.
Plan Management helps you manage the financial side of your NDIS plan (without the stress.)
With Lighthouse, you can:
We take care of the admin, payments, and provider coordination, so you can focus on what matters most.
You still choose your providers.
We just make everything easier to manage.
We're here to make things simple, clear, and reliable.
Our team is here to answer questions and help you navigate your plan.
We process invoices quickly, so your supports continue without interruption.
Use both NDIS-registered and non-registered providers.
Stay on top of your funding with easy-to-understand updates.
Responsive support from people who know the system and care about your experience.
Lighthouse has a long history of supporting people with disability to live the life they choose.
Over the years, we've worked alongside individuals, families, and providers to navigate the NDIS and access the right supports. Through this experience, we've developed a strong understanding of what people need. Not just in services, but in guidance, clarity, and trust.
As the NDIS has evolved, so have we.
Today, our focus is on delivering high quality Plan Management, helping people manage their funding with confidence, while keeping control over the supports that matter most to them.
While our services have changed over time, our purpose hasn't.
We're here to make the NDIS easier to understand, easier to use, and more effective for the people who rely on it.
Everything we do is guided by a simple belief.
People should feel confident, informed, and in control of their supports.
We work alongside you to help you understand:

You can request Plan Management during your NDIS planning meeting, or ask for it to be added to your current plan. Once it’s included, we can help you get set up.
We aim to process invoices as quickly as possible, so your providers are paid on time and your supports continue without disruption. The NDIA expects a plan manager to validate an invoice and submit a payment request to the NDIA within five business days of receipt. Upon receiving payment from the NDIS, the NDIA expects payment or reimbursement to occur within two business days.

You can switch at any time. We’ll help make the transition simple and smooth.

At your planning meeting, tell NDIS staff or your Local Area Coordinator you would like a NDIS plan manager to support you. If you are agency-managed or self-managed but want to be plan-managed, it’s easy to change over.
Good news: changing plan managers is nowhere near as complicated as it seems. If you’re not happy with your current plan manager, you can change to a new one at any time.
